The factory applied for D'Addario EXP Light Gauge Phosphor Bronze on each of these models. However there are ways to tweak the tonal characteristic further by altering with all kind of strings. Available for your choice to boost the overall trebles - select Cleartone 80/20 Light or Medium gauge for coated strings. If you want to tweak for further mellow, warm tonal character then RED copper bronze for acoustic either Light or Medium gauges is your choice ! Solid bracing construction = Quarter Sawn Scallop Bracing system are applied to any WD10S and above lines

An important key differentiator against the rest 'cheaper quality' acoustic guitars, this model select only quarter sawn hardwood sprcue as the important bracing components. The hardwood Spruce when it is cut with correct angle like the 'Quarter Sawn' planes will show parallel grains which produce Strength / Weight high ratio. The Strength, Stiffness & correct parallel Spruce grains propagates acoustic waves very well while do not over-loading the guitar's top. There are great deal of time, efforts & cost to build a Quarter Sawn Scallop Bracing which cheap guitars neglecting those important traits. The correctly sawn Spruce with high ratio of strength over weight allows the makers to 'scalloped' it for reducing weight but maintain it's strength to protect the guitar' top able to witstand the high pull energy from the neck with it's 6 strings. A correctly angle bracing both for tones bracing and trebles bracing will determine the end result of guitar's Tones characteristic.
